Lesson Plans for February 23-April 2nd

Monday, February 23rd:

Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Dailie warm up, computer lab for ASPIRE persuasion quiz and prefix/suffix/affix mid-assessment.

Tuesday, February 24th: (I will have a sub today-I am at a district training)

Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Prefix foldable, begin four square vocabulary packet for Anne Frank.

Wednesday, February 25th: (I will have a sub today-I am at a district training)

Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Dailie warm up, continue/finish four square vocabulary and turn in at the end of class (if student is not done at the end of class they will need to complete it for homework and turn it in when they walk in on Thursday).

Thursday, February 26th:
Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Prefix quiz over "bio" words (these are repeated words from earlier in the year so I should see a lot of 100%'s). : ) Double-entry journal on The Holocaust with article.

Friday, February 27th:
Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Spelling warm up, discuss webquest for Anne Frank, assign parts and begin reading The Diary of Anne Frank today in class.

Monday, March 2nd:
Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Dailie, work on webquest timeline in computer lab.

Tuesday, March 3rd:
Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Prefix sentences, continue reading Diary of Anne Frank.
*NOTE: For tomorrow's half day you MUST have a book to read for READ ACROSS AMERICA! You can also bring a pillow and a snack to relax while you read.

Wednesday, March 4th:
Today is a half-day! It is also READ ACROSS AMERICA week, so we will be having students read their favorite book for the half day.

Thursday, March 5th:
Language Arts & Advanced Language Arts:
Prefix foldable, work on webquest timeline for Anne Frank.

Friday, March 6th:
*Today is our field trip to Celebrity Theatre to watch the play, The Diary of Anne Frank. We will leave around 9am and return around 12pm.*
When we return, students will go to their 3rd hour for the afternoon (after lunch) to complete a reflection activity about the play.
